The Lytro camera is a new, innovative, piece of digital technology that allows photos to ‘come to life’ after a photograph has been taken. It uses light field technology to allow the user complete freedom when capturing a photo, meaning the user can capture any photo with the ability to refocus after the picture has been taken. The camera uses a light field sensor that can capture color, intensity and vector direction of rays of light, it also replaces traditional camera components with software allowing for faster photography ensuring there is little shutter lag (as well as sleep to snap in under a second. Instant on) and better pictures in low light. Users will now be able to shift the perspective of any scene, switching from 2D to 3D when desired and will allow photographs to be viewed in a new immersive way.
IsoSketch is a unique drawing application for the iPad. IsoSketch enables users to draw on an angled isometric grid, creating geometric artwork for design, illustration, and more. The IsoSketch interface allows you to have full control over layers, color, opacity, fills, strokes, background images, and background colors. The angled artwork that is created is scaleable vector artwork. It features vector output via email (.svg) which lets you import your drawings into a desktop vector editing application, for example illustrator – all without needing to sync your iPad. It also transfers all layers with all colors and transparency from your IsoSketch drawing intact. You can also share your images on Facebook or save them into your Photo Album. The interface is clean and simple to use which means that you don’t have to be a designer to create a piece of isometric artwork.
